I'm still curios what happened during the last few days at the Cave optical company when it closed it's doors? I've talked to several people that knew Tom Cave, and they didn't really want to go into the details. I can understand that not wanting to blemish an historical career, but I feel like I'm not telling a portion of the story by not including something about the final days in Santa Barbera. If anyone has knowledge about just what transpired, please PM me so we can talk. I don't really want to hash it out here on the forum, but will allow comments about it if we are careful. Dissolving a company is a difficult thing. Tom Cave also was not in the best of health. Most of us already know that orders were cancelled and some deposits never returned. There were bad feeling tossed around about Cave by customers and employees that were leaving disgruntled. It happens and it may not be pretty, but I believe that that chapter of his life can be told tastefully and with respect for the man and his work. Any comments?
