Here's a 1977 Cave 8" f/7 Model B Deluxe. I bought this from a professional astronomer in Tucson who had it for sale on Craigslist. It belonged to a friend who passed away and he no longer wanted it. Originally, he advertised just the OTA. We exchanged a few emails back and forth and then he said that the tube was cracked! I asked about the mount, he said he had it but didn't think anyone would want it since it was in bad shape from being stored outside under a tarp on top of a mountain somewhere for years and then out in his shed later on. The OTA was stored inside and included a 10mm Orthostar. Attachments:

The Eli Buk Cave Cassegrain. Bought this at an auction in Boston. Had to go get it after having the winning bid. Previous owner desided to paint light blue with a paint brush. About 400 hours later, it has become a very nice collectable. 1972 10" Cave Cassegain.

Hello everybody I have just managed to get hold of a Astrola 8" model f/6, "B" Deluxe 1976 vintage serial nr CN021565. It used to belong to a Dutch astronomer who bought it in the US then exported to the Nederland. The mount was then converted at the workshop of the observatory of the university of Utrecht to work in the southern hemisphere. It did some work with International Halley Watch in 1986 under Stephen J Edberg. The scope was mothballed in the late 90's and I saw it for sale a few weeks ago. I was in the market for an upgrade and I could not pass this opportunity. It needs a bit of attention, not much, but with a bit of TLC it can be restored to its former glory. The present owner is retiring and he is moving to a very light polluted area. I will take delivery in 2 weeks. I feel like the 4 year old me the night before Christmas

Hi Paul
It looks great! It is missing the control box. Is the motor still with it? Look like a cord still hooked to it.
Good luck with the restoration. Let me know if you need any help.

Well I did get a reply to my emails within the hour. All the parts are there and working. The housing does not fit due to the modification to make it work in the southern hemisphere. However I have access to a milling machine and metal lathes ( helps if your brother in law is a mechanical engineer) so I can get the housing machined so that its stays enclosed.
